Meet Laura Skelton, intelliHR’s Strategic Partnership Manager who has been delivering new programs to support the growth of the intelliHR business.
I started out at the University of Technology, Sydney, where I completed a Bachelor of Business with a major in Accounting and sub major in IT. Soon after I received a graduate position at a Big 4 Accounting Firm in Sydney where I became immersed in IT Advisory, conducting IT audits and IT consulting. Following a move to Brisbane with this firm I moved across to a global software company that specialised in event and venue management software. I was fortunate to step into several roles with the company that took me through looking after implementations, presales and then eventually becoming Team Leader of Presales for the APAC region. A technology focus in my career has always been a constant, which is what attracted me to intelliHR.
I started at intelliHR as an Account Executive working on new business sales, but there was an opportunity to grow the intelliHR business through a partner program, this was supported by our leadership team and the Board as a key growth area for the business. I was asked to help build and lead that program into the future and just before the official launch I was promoted to the position of Strategic Partnerships Manager. As Strategic Partnerships Manager, it is my job to manage the Partner Program, to assist our partners to grow their business, whilst helping their clients through our technology. It is this shared growth in partnerships that excites me in this role.
I’m really proud of the launch of the intelliHR Partner Program, which was a result of a fair few months in planning and design before the final roll out to the market. This was an effort that I was able to coordinate across several internal teams at intelliHR and I’m pleased to see this now in the market.
One of the highlights is being able to co-run design thinking workshops with our Senior UX/UI Designer, Hans Barroga. These workshops, designed for our customer networks, have been focused on helping them to understand and learn how they can go about redesigning their processes. They are a lot of fun and a great way to add extra value to our customers.
I’m really excited about our technology roadmap and the new functionality that is coming through and in development, the recruitment functionality, the on-demand forms and also the Bot technology we are looking into at the moment is going to change the way people do work.
What I really like about working at intelliHR is the fact that no two days are the same. Each day I am faced with different situations that make my work life interesting, whether it be the variety in tasks that I’m working on or the diverse and dynamic people that I’m talking to.
